With a huge boom in the popularity of shared workspaces and an increase in freelancing, the office space market has undergone rapid changes in recent years. Far from the old days where big companies would hire entire floors on long term contracts, offices have become more agile, suited to freelancers and small startups.
One result of this new development has been increased competition in the marketplace, with offices offering everything from free beer to yoga classes to entice customers. One essential aspect is of course background music. We were delighted to get the call from industry leaders British Land to help provide the perfect soundtrack to their new Storey Club development in Paddington.
We worked closely with the team behind the project to create a sound which is conducive for working, meetings – which keeps staff feeling productive and energised but without being distracting. Several site visits later and we’re pleased to be helping create a positive working environment for some of London’s most forward-thinking companies.

Storey Club is British Land’s first foray into shared workspaces so it was essential that we got the sound right. We delivered three different zones of music to reflect the different uses of the space – from an ambient soundscape in their urban oasis to more lively music suitable for energetic workshops and team bonding.
