02 Aug JOY – Leaping with Joy

River Cafe alumni Stevie Parle has been a long time collaborator of MAV’s, and he is well known for an innovative and adventurous approach to food and restaurant spaces. Joy is his latest project, a short-term pop-up in Notting Hill with an emphasis on seasonal British produce; and as we have delivered such fantastic music at his previous venues – Pastaio and Craft – Stevie asked us to do the same here.

Whether this is cooked simply and elegantly at Flora restaurant, bought from The Goods Shed; locally grown vegetables displayed beautifully on arrival; The Bottle Shop; with it’s organic wines and beers; or The Honey Store; where Stevie sells delicious honey from Kent; Joy is a feast for the senses.

MAV’s experience here, particularly on the terrace at Flora, was extremely enjoyable and we endeavoured to match the music to the atmosphere. We did this by arranging a smorgasbord of easily digested contemporary pop, world music and summery instrumentals, which are uplifting and varied.
