We were recently asked to takeover the music at London’s coldest venue – Belowzero’s Icebar in Mayfair. Icebar is the UK’s only permanent ice bar, with things kept at a frosty -5°C all year round. Icebar is much more than the perfect escape from this summer’s heatwave though – no two ice bar themes are ever the same, and their crack team of ice artists, designers and mixologists create an entirely new concept for the bar every year. Unlike many Mayfair venues, Icebar don’t take themselves too seriously and wanted a fun playlist to match – we created a unique mixture of styles and genres including a generous helping of re-edits and bootlegs to get the party started in the cocktail bar whilst also remaining appropriate to the restaurant they have downstairs.
