This policy explains what information MAV Music collects when you use mavmusic.co.uk, why we collect it and what your rights are. The short version: we only use your information to run and improve this website and to reply to you. We never sell it, and we don't share it with third parties, except Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies.
Who we are
This website is run by MAV Recordings Ltd, trading as MAV Music, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12618702), at 14 Buspace Studios, Conlan Street, London W10 5AP. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.

What we collect
Information you send us
When you use our contact or Get Started forms, we collect what you enter: your name, email address and, if you provide them, your phone number, company or business name, venue type, number of locations, current music setup, timeline, how you heard about us, preferred genres, a Spotify playlist link and your message. We also record the page you sent the form from.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers log basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working properly. To protect our forms from spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether a submission is coming from a person or an automated bot; this uses technical signals from your browser and is not used to identify or track you.
Analytics (only with your consent)
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are popular and where people leave, so we can improve it. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use and your approximate location. We don't use it to identify you, and we don't use it for advertising. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry. Form submissions are kept strictly within MAV Music. We may email you to follow up on your enquiry.
- To improve the website. Analytics data, where you've consented, helps us see what works and what doesn't.
- To keep the site secure and protect our forms from spam and abuse.
We won't add you to a marketing mailing list without asking first.
Our legal basis
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we rely on our legitimate interests to respond to enquiries you send us and to keep the website secure, and on your consent for analytics cookies. If your enquiry leads to working together, we also process information as needed to provide our services.
Who can see your information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
The only third party that receives data from this website is Google, through Google Analytics, and only if you accept analytics cookies.
A small number of service providers help us run the website and handle information only on our instructions, not for their own use: our website host (Laravel Cloud), our email delivery service (Resend), which sends us notifications of new enquiries, and Cloudflare, which provides the spam check on our forms. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they are bound by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent standard contractual clauses.
We may also disclose information if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details so we can respond to you and follow up, and delete them within 2 years of our last contact if you don't become a client. If you do become a client, we keep the information needed to provide our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Google Analytics deletes detailed analytics data automatically after 2 months.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Essential cookies. A session cookie and a security token keep the site and its forms working. These don't track you and can't be switched off.
- Your cookie choice. We remember whether you accepted or declined analytics in your browser's local storage, so we don't ask every time.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, such as
_ga), set only if you click Accept.
You can change your mind at any time: open cookie settings, or clear cookies in your browser.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct or update it
- ask us to delete it
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
- withdraw your consent to analytics at any time

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before going to the ICO.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
